Refined Oils are extracted using centrifugal method which involves cleaning, grinding, pressing and extracting additional oil using solvent, removing solvent traces & then refining the oil which removes colour, odour and bitterness. While doing so the oils are heated to 200 degree Celsius, thus destroying natural nutrients and enzymes. Excess heat increases the “QUANTITY” of oil but also decreases the “QUALITY” of oils.
A lot has been said about different types of oils; among these COLD PRESSED OILS have been the most talked about. Recently, many experts have pronounced cold pressed oils as healthy alternative to refined cooking oils. They are known to be cholesterol free, unrefined or unprocessed, do not contain any harmful solvent residues and due to its simple extraction process, all the natural nutrients and antioxidants that are beneficial for the body remain intact in the oils.

I was looking for the best cold pressed oils for cooking because the refined oils nowadays don’t have any nutritional values in it. Amrutalya groundnut oil turns out to be the best as i am using it from past 7-8 months in cooking and it is having a nice aroma of actual groundnuts.

The oil is unfiltered so appears cloudy in nature. The aroma is excellent and it has a high smoke point. Good flavour when food is cooked with it. The bottle it is shipped in is quite flimsy compared to typical plastic bottles used by cheaper brands like Sundrop so that should be improved.

We purchased 1 ltr bottle and writing this review after finishing it. It was very good product, as claimed by manufacturer it is 100% cold pressed groundnut oil. Did taste good and enhances the flavor of the food.
